Ten Days Away And Counting By Loretta Hunt March 13th will mark the arrival of not one, but ten Russian mixed martial artists to New Jersey's chilly, yet inviting, eastern shores. In an event tagged as the "USA vs. Russia," ten Red Devil Sports Club members will square off against various representatives from some of America's more notable fight teams and schools. The event is scheduled to take place at Atlantic City's decadent Trump Taj Mahal, in its 5,000-seat arena that was home to UFC's 28,30, and 31. In the wake of Holland's recent 2Hot2Handle event, the card has shifted slightly, but promoter Euphoria Entertainment is still touting ten 3-round bouts of mixed martial arts action. Of the changes, Team Quest's Chael Sonnen has been tapped to take on Arman Gambaryan at 205 pounds, while WFA and AFC vet Chatt Lavender makes his return to competition to take on Sergei Bal in the welterweight division. With a broken hand sustained at 2H2H, heavyweight Ibragim Magomedev has dropped from the roster and his intended rematch with Dave Strasser student Ben Rothwell will be replaced by a 155-pound match-up to be named shortly. AKA's Brian Ebersole has also joined the American line-up to face light-heavyweight Alexei Veselozorov. Due to early reports that M-1 heavyweight champion Roman Zentsov was knocked out in his last fight against Michael Knaap, also at February 22nd's 2H2H, there has been some speculation as to the fighter's eligibility to compete under the New Jersey Athletic Control Board's parameters in the event's main event. However, these reports may have been a bit premature in nature. Red Devil reps immediately protested the KO loss and the referee's intervention in the match, and although the bout outcome was not adjusted to a no contest, the process did yield some benefits for the Russian fighter. Upon review of the fight footage, 2H2H drafted a letter stating that Zentsov was knocked down but not OUT by the punch, and admitted to "poor judging by the referee." Zentsov was also subjected to a CAT scan following the bout as a safety precaution which provided normal results. In addition, the attending ringside physician submitted a written document also confirming that Zentsov was not knocked out and that he has placed no restrictions on the fighter to compete in future bouts. At this time, Red Devil has supplied the NJACB with these three documents supporting Zentsov's request to participate. Euphoria promoters are confident the board will approve the Russian delegate, and Zentsov is still scheduled to arrive in Atlantic City with his teammates next week. For more information on the event, call (609) 449-1000 or (800) 825-8888. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com Updated card for Mixed Martial Arts: Russian Invasion

From the event's promoter: FONTANA, Wis. -- Bill Hill got involved in MMA without knowing much about the sport.
"That guy has some skills... he's going to be good," Horn predicted of Hill after his bout. Since the loss to Horn, the career of Bill Hill has turned around with four straight victories. And, on March 13, Hill... now a muscular 205 pounds... will face another MMA legend in Adrian Serrano in the inaugural Xtreme Fighting Organization event at The Abbey Resort. Hill, a personal trainer, says he wants to become the best... and to do that "you have to fight the best." Serrano admits to being at the end of his career, but the UFC veteran and former Extreme Challenge champion is still a formidable opponent. He has won 10 of his last 13 bouts, and 6 of 8... with loses coming to likes of Tony "The Freak" Fryklund and Justin Denes. The Hill-Serrano bout is one of 12 matches scheduled at the XFO, which is headlined by UFC veteran Jeff Curran facing Dan Swift in a lightweight bout. Swift has been fighting the Midwest circuit for some time and has put together five wins in his last six bouts. "I'm expecting a tough fight," Curran said. "People say I can't knock him out, but I'm going to give it my best." Curran boasts a 17-6 record and is ranked No. 6 in the world at 145 pounds. The XFO was originally set for the Lakemoor Banquet Facility in Lakemoor, Ill., but recent political woes in the state forced the show to be moved a short distance past the border into Wisconsin. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the first bout starting at 7:30. In other feature bouts, Bart Palaszewski looks for his 7th straight victory, but will have his hands full with powerful Antoine Skinner, while Jason Guida and Steve Dau battle in a rematch of a fight ruled a no-contest last year. In a heavyweight battle, Damien Decorah faces Carvin Mafatau in a battle of sluggers. Tickets start at $25 and are available by calling Curran Martial Arts (815) 356-0454; Gilbert Grappling (630) 327-4754; Hapkido Institute (630) 715-4870; Serrano's Gym (414) 358-0909; and Dan Lardy (815) 245-2066. By Loretta Hunt UFC veteran Rich Clementi has been tapped to complete the roster for Euphoria Entertainment's Mixed Martial Arts: Russian Invasion scheduled for this Saturday, March 13th at the Trump Taj Mahal arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Local East Brunswick-born Clementi will face Red Devil Sports Club member Serguei Goliaev, who is 4-2 in MMA action. Clementi was a recent stand-out in Japan's ZST Lightweight Grand Prix Tournament, where he made it past three opponents on route to a loss in the finals to American Top Team's Marcus Aurelio. With only a week's notice, what would spurn "No Love" to take on an opponent he knows very little about? "Just because I'm aggravated," Clementi laughed from his New Orleans home last night. "I just didn't get off in my last fight," referring to his decision loss to Dave Gardner at March 5th's Freestyle Fighting Championships 8. " When I fight, I like to fight. Every Russian I've seen fight, they're pretty hardcore, always coming forward and pressing the action. Hopefully, he'll come at me and it will be an exciting fight for everybody." Clementi's bout rounds out an intriguing card of ten fights, all of which pit a Red Devil team member versus an American representative from schools and teams across the country. Travis "Diesel" Wiuff in for Atlantic City "Russian Invasion" Event By Loretta Hunt In a last-minute shuffle, UFC veteran Travis Wiuff has moved into the main event for this Saturday's Mixed Fighting Championship: Russian Invasion event, to make its inaugural run at the Trump Taj Mahal's 5,000-seat arena. Wiuff, who is on an eleven fight winning streak as of late, will take on Red Devil Sports Club member and M-1 heavyweight champion Roman Zentsov. According to matchmaker Miguel Iturate, American Top Team rep Jeff Monson had to bow out from the previously scheduled match-up due to an injury sustained yesterday in training. 27-4 Wiuff was given the green light early this afternoon, and reached for comment at the airport on route to the popular Jersey shore, the Minnesota native said he hasn't had a second to spare to get excited about the opportunity. Pending Wiuff's medical clearance by the New Jersey Athletic Control Board, the Euphoria Entertainment-promoted event will be ten fights strong going into Saturday night. From the event's promoter: Schall Hopes to Jump Start Career in ICE 8 FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- Kerry Schall has had more than his share of bad breaks in the sport of mixed martial arts. Better known as the "Meat Truck," in the last couple of years he has...
"Kerry has had the kind of bad luck that makes you think twice... sometimes three times about getting on a plane with him," said manager Monte Cox. "Seriously, it has been just one thing after another... and nobody is more frustrated than he is about it." Schall, 6-foot-2 and 275 pounds, has a decent 17-6 record with two of his losses coming to notables Fedor Emelianenko and Bobby Hoffman (in overtime). He has won five of his last six bouts and hopes that 2004 will be his comeback year. In addition to the main event, the 19-bout card will include a couple of interesting matchups: Sluggers Ron Fields and Houston Alexander; jiu-jitsu standouts Michael Patt and Justin Ellison; and heavyweights John Murphy and Maurice Walker. "There are a lot of really good fights on this one," Cox said. "We knew after the last show (which featured Jeremy Horn), we had to follow up with something just as good or better. We've added like five or six more fights and have a lot of solid matchups." Metropolis, the site of the last event, will be the host of the after-fight party. The show can no longer be held there due to construction to the building. For tickets, contact Kerry Schall at 513 290-3259. By Loretta Hunt There's a tried and true rule in mixed martial arts these days: To become a name you have to beat a name. Like other up and coming fighters, Trevor Prangley knows this unwritten guideline all to well, which is why he's looking at his pending battle with Andrei Semenov with his eyes wide open. The Idaho resident (by way of South Africa) is one of ten "American" representatives that will square off against the visiting Russian Red Devil Sports Club this Saturday for Euphoria Entertainment's Mixed Martial Arts: Russian Invasion event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The South African import has amassed a 22-2 overall record stateside in the last six years, and with an impressive performance against Renato "Babalu" Sobral last September at the IFC Global Domination Tournament as his springboard, the Prangley name teeters on the cusp of industry (and fan) notoriety. A wrestler all his life, Prangley says he made his way to America from Cape town, South Africa in 1996 after earning an alternate's slot on the South African Olympic freestyle team. The plan was to spend a few years in the States, sharpen his game, then head back home for another shot at Olympic glory. Dates with destiny, however, can not be broken. After wrestling alongside now-UFC lightweight contender Josh "the Punk" Thomson at North Idaho College, Prangley's day job working on diesel engine performance found him in the Lone Star state. From there, fate pushed a wee bit harder. An interest in the growing force of MMA landed the 6'1" wrestler on the doorstep of some of the sport's original heroes. As part of Guy Mezger's Lion's Den chapter in Texas, Prangley spent over a year training and helped get Tra Telligman in fighting shape for his UFC 43 slugfest with Pedro Rizzo. Mixed Fighting Championships Are A Go By Loretta Hunt First-time MMA promoters Euphoria Entertainment cleared yet another hurdle, when all its able competitors made their allotted weight requirements for tonight's Mixed Fighting Championship, kicking off at 7PM from Trump Taj Mahal's 5,000-seat Arena. Under the watchful eye of the New Jersey Athletic Control Board, nine* American fighters eyed their Russian Red Devil team counterparts, some for the very first time. The mood played surprisingly light and laid back on the eve of some inevitable out and out brawls, and laughter could be heard from both sides as the fighters awkwardly overcame language barriers to complete their staredowns in front of a modest crowd of MMA media. (*Originally scheduled for ten match-ups, Renzo Gracie representative Joe D'Arce has bowed out of his bout with welterweight Denis Komkin due to a head injury sustained Thursday night in training that required seven stitches.) Paying close attention to New Jersey's Unified Rules Of Combat (the same guidelines followed by the UFC), American coaches and teammates were quick to question how the use of a ring would affect the refereeing of the event, especially with regards to restarts along/outside of the ropes. Matchmaker Miguel Iturate clarified that grapplers gravitating outside of the ropes will be most likely turned around without disturbing positions and has suggested that no grounded fight be restarted in the middle of the ring (a la PRIDE). It will be under the referee's discretion to restart a fight standing due to inactivity. The New Jersey Athletic Board will also honor the recently implemented UFC rule regarding restarts after stoppages for medical inspections (i.e. Fights stopped to check for a cut will be restarted in the same position). Translators worked furiously to convey these points to the Russian team. Click here to continue reading the article Click here for weigh-in photos |

American Team Goes 8 For 1 In Mixed Fighting Championships By Loretta Hunt Atlantic City, New Jersey -- Mixed Fighting Championships did something rather extraordinary tonight. For a first installment, the MFC managed to pull off an event that would rival numerous long-running mid-level shows across the country. To a crowd of approximately 2,500 mainly Russian supporters, the Americans went on to grasp eight of the nine victories -- spare a nasty 15-second knockout of Ron Faircloth at the hands of Sergey Kaznovski. The theme for the night quickly formulated into the Americans taking each of their foes to the mat with little ground defense or offense offered back by their Russian adversaries. It was obvious that the Russians came to stand, and many Americans answered the call, but to not assume the fight would hit the canvas eventually proved too detrimental to the opposing team. Highlights for the event were many, including a Tank Abbott of old-inspired attack by Red Devil brawler Mikhail Bogdanov, who hunted down the knockout from the get go with some noticeably heavy hands. Miletich fighter Justin Eilers kept his cool though, even when Bogdanov managed to hurl Eilers through the ropes and into the crowd during a scramble. Taking a moment, Eilers eventually made his way back into the ring, giving and receiving a few healthy strikes till round's end. Exhaustion and an injured right knee kept the Russian from continuing on.

From the event's promoter: FONTANA, Wis. -- A near sellout crowd packed into The Abbey Resort Saturday and witnessed the successful debut of the X-treme Fighting Organization. Jeff Curran, the local favorite, turned on the offense -- both standing and on the ground -- en route to a submission victory (triangle) in the third round over a tough Dan Swift in the main event. Curran, ranked top 10 in the world at 145, got back on the winning track after two decision losses to "Kid" Yamamoto in Super Brawl and Matt Serra in the UFC. "I wanted to put on a show," Curran said. "I knew Dan was tough... and I hit him with some really good shots, but he kept coming back for more." Curran, a black belt in jiu-jitsu who scored a big KO of Baret Yoshida last year, did wobble Swift standing on at least one occasion before going to the ground and finishing with a triangle choke. In the co-main event, the streak of Bill Hill continued as he took control of UFC veteran Adrian Serrano early and pounded out a first-round victory. Hill has won five straight bouts since losing to Jeremy Horn in the Extreme Challenge. In feature bout competition, Bart Palaszewski caught Tim Newland with an arm-bar only seconds before the conclusion of round 1. It was Palaszewski's seventh straight victory. Steve Dau took advantage of a fatigued Jason Guida and scored a second-round TKO victory in a rematch of a no-contest bout last year. And, Demian Decorah overcame a slow start to claim a unanimous decision over hard-punching Carvin Mafatau in a heavyweight bout. Brandon Adamson was selected the fighter of the night after coming back from a severe beating in the first round to arm-bar Ryan Brockner in the third round. The results... Gabe Lemley def. On Carson Daly Tonight By Loretta Hunt
Appearances like this are becoming more commonplace for Liddell and other UFC fighters, especially in the days leading up to a big UFC event when the Zuffa team seems to be hustling for exposure. As one of the quieter, more reserved characters out there, it's no surprise when Liddell mumbles that is his least favorite part of the business, but his demeanor hardly betrays him. He knows his boisterous sidekick tonight, the brash former champion Tito Ortiz, will try to egg him on into a verbal fray of some sort. He says Ortiz is an emotional fighter, and unlike himself, needs this to prepare his mind for the fight. But in the end, Liddell says he's not buying what Ortiz is selling. With a confidence that could only come from years of knowing a person (the two were longtime friends), Liddell wholeheartedly believes Ortiz will not stand with him in their anticipated face-off that has been almost two years in the making, but if he does, one or two swipes from the Iceman will quickly change that. Liddell slyly comments that he's glad Ortiz is riled up. He knows he's gotten under his opponent's skin. |

The Brazilian Beat: It's been a long time but we're back! After one of the longest hiatus ever in its history the Brazilian Beat is finally back after a amazing wave of new MMA shows popping up recently in Brazil. This theme has been approached for a long time already in this space, as new promoters are venturing themselves into MMA more and more and never before this country had so many shows going on in such a short period of time. In this edition we'll run trough this true MMA frenzy giving news and results on most of the new promotions. However, the most traditional ones such as MECA, HEAT and even Shooto Brazil are also on the run for new projects and we bring you some tidbits about them as well. With so many events going on, FCF still managed to find space for some other Brazilian MMA news as Belfort enjoys his honeymoon, Sperry travels looking for fun although business never leave him alone, his pupils prepare to take their act to Korea, Ninja prepares his wedding and recovers from injury and Marcelo Garcia is simply THE MAN in Submission grappling nowadays. So, enjoy the news as it may take long, but they never cease as FCF keeps bouncing back with the beat in the already traditional Brazilian rhythm style!

By Eduardo Alonso As the sport of Mixed Martial Arts continues to spread around the globe, Europe has been seeing its share of fight action more often recently as Scandinavia is showing the rest of the old continent the way with its newest promotion, European Vale Tudo, which is about to hold its second edition. This next April 4th, in the city of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, European Vale Tudo 2: Hazard will take place, showcasing some of the best fighters the continent has to offer as well as competitors from other parts of the world, battling inside a cage not only for their personal glory, but also to help to expand the sport in yet a new and promising region. The MMA scene in Scandinavia has been growing nicely in recent years, due in no small part to the tough nature of its people as well as their incredible sense of organization. Combining these two elements with a lot of passion for the sport, promoters Carl Otto Knudsen and Marko Ervasti have been making an effort to take freestyle fighting to Scandinavia in the proper way for a number of years, and with that they built EVT under clearly solid foundations, which can explain the success of the first edition and how impressive the show was considering the circumstances. EVT 1: Genesis, back in December of 2003 in Copenhagen, Denmark, included the cream of the crop of the European MMA scene as well as PRIDE veteran Guy Mezger headlining the card that impressed the fans as much as the flawless production impressed the competitors themselves. Back then, it was crucial that the show would be held in Denmark as Sweden, although a country with more MMA potential, wouldn't allow complete MMA rules and a step in the wrong direction could jeopardize the sport forever in those countries. With EVT 1 in Denmark being a success, the doors then were open for EVT two to conquer yet another country in Scandinavia as "Hazard" takes an even bigger fighting card to the capital of Sweden, with hopes of breaking new ground and proving to everybody MMA is now truly becoming a global sport. Among the highlights on the show is the presence of three Lion's Den fighters, with Travis Lutter competing in the main event. Here's the fight card for EVT 2: Hazard:

Mid-Day Fight Time III Held March 20, 2004 At the Grand Central Casino - Lakewood, WA By Mike Neva
With a mix of amateur and professional bouts on the card, the most entertaining bout of the evening came from the amateur ranks. Although Kyle Nickersen was able to outlast Ryan Williams, both fighters came out to bang and gave the crowd an entertaining slug fest for much of the opening round. In round two, Nickersen just had to much ground skill and was finally able to lock up a tight rear-naked choke for the victory. In the main event, Cory Devela showed excellent take down defense in a decisive victory over Adam Yohe. At the opening bell, Yohe raced across the ring charging for a double leg takedown. Devela calmly sprawled keeping Yohe at bay. The match would eventually spill to the canvas, but it was Devela in the top position. Devela then unloaded with punches to a seemingly helpless Yohe. After taking an enormous amout of punishment in only a few seconds, Yohe finally tapped from the onslaught of blows.

From the event's promoter: MEDINA, Minn. -- Former UFC champion Dave Menne has accomplished a lot in the world of mixed martial arts. However, despite accumulating a long list of titles and victories over many of the world's top competitors, Menne has always dreamed of something more... something closer to home. "For a long time, I've wanted to be involved with bringing a quality event to Minneapolis," Menne said. "It's something I think the state needs and finally, it's going to happen." Menne has teamed up with his manager Monte Cox to co-promote Extreme Challenge 56... scheduled for this Friday at the Medina Entertainment Center in Medina, Minn. Not only will Menne help with the promotion... he'll also fight in the main event. "Dave is so excited to be promoting an event," Cox said. "He asked what he could do to make sure the event was a success. I said, that's easy... fight in it. I mean, he's without a doubt the most successful MMA fighter in Minnesota history. Not only is he the only UFC champion from his state, he also helped bring attention to the sport in Minneapolis and make it possible for others to follow in his foot steps." Menne will fight veteran Leo Sylvest of Indianapolis in the headliner of the 12-fight card. Travis Wiuff, another local UFC veteran, also will compete... putting his 11-fight win streak on the line against Demian Decorah in a heavyweight bout. "I haven't fought near my hometown in quite a while, so I'm really looking forward to the opportunity," Wiuff said. "This looks like it will be a great show... I'm happy that I get to be a part of it." In addition to the UFC vets, many up-and-coming fighters will also be featured on the card:
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first bout at 8 p.m. The Medina Entertainment Center will also host the after-fight party with bar and restaurant service until 2 a.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Medina box office 763 478-2784 and at Minnesota Combat Arts. From the event's promoter: MEDINA, Minn. -- Jorge Gurgel has a simple strategy. "I want to stand and bang," said the Brazilian-born BJJ black belt from Cincinnati. And, by bang, he means with his fists, as well as his feet. Gurgel used some powerful leg kicks to the legs and body of Joe Jordan Friday night to set up his submission victory that gave him the 155-pound tournament title at Extreme Challenge 56. It was a memorable performance that included a submission win over local favorite Gene Minajevs (after 7 minutes of slugging it out) in the opening round of the tourney. "I'm really happy with my performance... those were two very tough guys," Gurgel said. "I just want to keep going... keep improving. I hope to do just as well in the Super Brawl tournament." By virtue of his tourney victory, Gurgel assured himself of a spot in the 8-man 155-pound Super Brawl/Extreme Challenge tournament, scheduled June 18 in Honolulu, Hawaii. "Of course, as a qualifier, the winner of this tourney earned a spot in the Hawaii event," said EC promoter Monte Cox. "But, Joe Jordan and Roger Huerta put on such an amazing show in their first-round fight, that I spoke with Super Brawl promoter T.Jay Thompson and we decided to bring all three of them out for the event." Jordan advanced to the final when his bout with Huerta was scored a draw. The judges were then asked to judge the entire 9 minutes as a whole and choose a winner ... and Jordan was picked 2-1. While the tourney was a huge bright spot, it wasn't the only one a near sellout crowd witnessed at the Medina Entertainment Center.

By Loretta Hunt Zuffa has one more seat to reserve in its growing VIP section at UFC 47. Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell's recent appearances on Carson Daly's late night talk show Last Call have convinced the MTV icon to make the April 2nd trip out to Las Vegas to check out the action for himself. Daly, who first featured the outspoken Ortiz on his show back in September, took great pains to have Liddell and Ortiz featured heavily on a recent edition of Last Call, where the two traded trash talk on route to their long-awaited showdown. Now, Daly, a growing MMA fan, is traveling the extra mile to see how it all plays out. "I'm just a fan," Daly commented recently to FCF on his interest in the sport. "It's nice to have something in my life outside of what I do for a living that I get excited about. I'm not going there to do anything other than be a fan and watch a sport that I really enjoy on a personal level. There's no hidden agenda." With the insight Daly has recently gained on the Ortiz-Liddell fight, it'd be only fair to ask for his take on the now infamous grudge match between the former friends and light-heavyweight contenders for champion Vitor Belfort's belt. "These are famous last words, right?," Carson joked from his New York office. "You know, my heart's really going with Chuck because he's just the underdog that I think...," he trails off in his answer. "I just worry because he lost his last two fights. I think Tito handled Randy better and I'm going to use Randy Couture as the barometer of who's going to win this fight, so I think Tito's going to end up winning this fight. That would be my prediction. Certainly, I would love it if Chuck would win the fight too." As for the rest of the card, Daly says he has his eyes on the other championship bout being offered for the fan's approval. "I'll tell you what I'm looking forward to is Tim Sylvia versus Andrei Arlovski. I just don't think Tim Sylvia can lose. I don't think he'll ever lose. I mean, I don't know who can beat that monster. I watch Andrei fight and I think that if there's anybody out there right now that could do it, I think it's him. I'm really looking forward to that fight." To catch more of Daly's thoughts on MMA, as well as the details on his own training and the fighters he thinks rule the cage, check out his exclusive interview in the next issue of Full Contact Fighter. |

From Zuffa/UFC: UFC FIGHTER TIM SYLVIA AWAITS ELEVENTH HOUR TEST RESULTS REQUIRED FOR LICENSING Las Vegas, Nev., March 31, 2004 ... Pursuant to the terms of his prior suspension, former Ultimate Fighting Championship® Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia is anxiously awaiting satisfactory test results indicating an absence of performance enhancing drugs in his system. In anticipation of the Nevada State Athletic Commission's requirement for 2004 licensing, Sylvia took a preliminary test several weeks ago, that still indicates miniscule amounts of the substance detected after his September 26, 2003 bout. Sylvia insists, and the results indicate, that the possible small trace amounts found in his system go back to his first and only use of the agents taken over nine months ago. Because the NSAC had ordered Sylvia to provide satisfactory results before fighting again, Sylvia has requested that he be given until the last possible opportunity to obtain accurate results. This request is based upon a belief that trace amounts can linger in an athlete's fat cells long after usage has occurred. Sylvia has already submitted his urine sample and lab results for that test are expected early tomorrow. UFC® officials are working closely with the NSAC and the fighter, a proactive approach the company embraces in matters relating to fighter safety and event integrity. Any changes to the official UFC 47: It's On! event card will be announced pending Sylvia's test results. UFC47: It's On! features a much anticipated main event with Tito Ortiz vs. Chuck Liddell for the number one contender status in the Light Heavyweight division. The event airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. EST and 7 p.m. PST this Friday, April 2, from the almost sold out Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. |
The Brazilian Beat: Things are heated in the Brazilian MMA scene as March marches to an end and March Madness will turn into April Madness in this country as plenty of MMA shows will be taking place in the coming month. As those shows approaches more backstage happenings take place and the Brazilian Beat returns to report some more tidbits from the latest. HEAT FC 3 is approaching and its fights are being announced all the time. Chute Boxe will also bring STORM SAMURAI with some new MMA talent in their ring as the team looks stronger and stronger with Nino "Elvis" Schembri starting to look as an official Chute Boxe member. Besides that, Chute Boxe main icon Wanderlei Silva is taking Brazilian mainstream media by storm and preaching the word of MMA to newbies. As Chute Boxe seems to always be the center of attention in what comes to MMA here lately, even their former members are making some noise as rumors have Anderson Silva may be going to Korea to face PRIDE and UFC veteran Jeremy Horn in June. This may only be a rumor, but as one would say, where you can find smoke there's a huge chance of finding fire as well ... So, with no further wait let's go straight to the news as the Beat can never stop in FCF in typical Brazilian madness!
